Windows NT SNMP

Recomended for professionals only! - Whilst this book discusses SNMP in perfect detail and is aimed at the SNMP professional I found that it failed to explain the basics in any clear manner. One chapter is devoted to introducing SNMP but it failed to make me understand even the most basic concepts. For example I had to purchase further material to obtain a proper understanding on MIBs, and I still do not know how an Extension Agent is related to a MIB. If you are new to SNMP, forget this book!

At last, SNMP makes sense! - An excellent and practical look at the subject. Free of all the academic obfuscation which seems to usually accompany any SNMP liturature. A useful description of SNMP principles even if your re not programming under Windows NT, although obviously tailored for that market.
